Eugene O'Dornan lives in County Antrim, Northern Ireland with his family. He has enjoyed a lifetime of music which began with his first concert performance at the tender age of eleven. His love of country music developed whilst listening to such greats as Merle Haggard and Slim Whitman. These influences coupled with his own natural musical talent eventually led him into well known bands such as The Cavaliers (1969-1976) and Idaho (1976-1993). He currently plays around Northern Ireland with popular two-piece, Kentucky Kountry.

Eugene's debut record came in the form of an EP, released in conjunction with Idaho in 1980. It took four years before the arrival of his first album, 'Lovesong of the Waterfall', released in 1984. Dedication to career and family prevented him from recording any more albums until recently when he retired from his position as Head of French at St Patrick's College, Ballymena. Given that he had more time on his hands, daughter Emma, just a newborn in 1984, convinced him to enter the studio once more. Also a singer, Emma features as a guest on Eugene's recent albums.

Family Matters was released in 2008 and is now followed by 'Legacy' (Dec 2010).
